Field trip to the Canary Islands
for Sébastien’s thesis. 5 islands sampled!
During almost three weeks, Sébastien, Alain, and Lea went to the Canary Islands to sample 16 plant species across their distribution range for the GuaCaMol project, which is part of Sébastien’s thesis. They visited El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife, and benefitted from the help of Jairo Patiño, Agustin Naranjo-Cigala, Angel García, and many others in the field work. This campaign ended with a total of 1853 individual samples collected on the 5 islands where laurisilva grows. Now for the lab work!
