Nicolas and Alain teach several classes at the bachelor and master levels at the University of Liège. Nicolas' teaching goes from evolution biology and plant systematics to conservation biology.

Alain teaches classes in biogeography as well as phylogenetics comparative methods.

Nicolas also organizes a 2-week field course on ecology and conservation in the Carpathians, Romania; whereas Alain organizes a 1-week field course on biogéography in Cévennes, France.
