24 new Peltigera species!
Nicolas finally publishes his PhD work!
Published in Persoonia in August 2023, the long-awaited final paper of Nicolas' thesis. It consists in a taxonomic revision of the Peltigera polydactylon section, with the description of 24 new species from all around the world. In short, this clade mostly consists in species with specific biogeographic patterns and rather limited distributions, compared to the cosmopolitan taxa that they used to be considered as. Many colleagues from all over the world were involved, especially Jolanta Miadlikowska and François Luztoni from Duke University, and Bernard Goffinet from UCONN.
